Best Way To Manage Tasks & Reminders in Obsidian?
Hey - i have built something similar for myself and it works well. You will need a few plugins: - the Tasks plugin - Templater - Reminder
-
Do iOS (iPhone) system reminder notifications work with the Reminder community plugin?
I found the answer in the uphy/obsidian-reminder FAQ of all places. Should have looked there first.

Can anyone enlighten me why there's no "to-do" app like Obsidian?
I use the Obsidian TODO plugin in combination with the Reminders plugin.

A basic task manager
Entire team uses the Plugin https://github.com/uphy/obsidian-reminder to create tasks.

Is there a way to manage deadlines in Obsidian other than using a tag like #deadline?
In addition to the other task, to-do, and calendar plug-ins, you might find the Reminder plug-in helpful. I haven't tried it, but I read on another thread that when you @ a task, it reminds you at that date and time.

Unpopular opinion: Obsidian is an excellent Task Manager ( + my setup )
Obsidian has a Reminders plugin too in case it can be helpful.

Hacking ADHD: Strategies for the modern developer
Hi,
Sure, I'm using Agile Task Note (https://github.com/BoxThatBeat/obsidian-agile-task-notes) for the Jira sync and for Google Calendar, I'm using obsidian-google-lookup (https://github.com/ntawileh/obsidian-google-lookup) and obsidian-google-calendar (https://github.com/YukiGasai/obsidian-google-calendar)

Obsidian and CalDAV / ics
I've been trying to brainstorm potential solutions to this to maybe write a plugin that syncs Obsidian with a CalDAV server (I know of obsidian-google-calendar but would rather this work on an open standard). But then it hit me: what if your Obsidian vault was the source of truth? What if you could manage your events with existing plugins (full calendar, day planner) and be able to run a CalDAV server on top of that, to sync to your phones and get notifications / reminders?

Looking for help on setting up Obsidian as a task management system (like Amazing Marvin)
[4.5] Using another Calendar is also an option, eg integrating Google's Calendar with with https://github.com/YukiGasai/obsidian-google-calendar and auto-create Google Events from the scheduled tasks.
- Is it possible to imbed a calendar onto a note?

Evernote Alternatives
Like-to-have: - Under $9 per month: Free for personal notes! But you would need to pay $50 USD for commercial use. FWIW, they don't check this because the notes are 100% on your own machine and not on the cloud. But I pay that because I love the app. - Open-source: No. There is a FOSS alternative (Logseq) - but that lacks the polish. The mobile experience is lacking too particularly for PDFs. - Desktop app: Yep! On all platforms - In-line note tagging: This + easy interlinking of notes using wike-style links. Also supports backlinks - Web clipper: Not officially. There are unofficial clippers. I personally use "Take a screenshot" from the right-click menu in Firefox for snapping a image of the entire page and paste into obsidian if I care about the images etc. Else, I select the text section and paste into obsidian - and it auto-formats into markdown - Longevitity or the ability to export easily to other smart note apps: Yes, just a directory of files + markdown. - Google Calendar integration: Yes - through a plugin (https://github.com/YukiGasai/obsidian-google-calendar) - Reminders: No. I use Google calendar's reminders for that. - Customer support: If you pay for the commercial license, sure! \

How do I list today's events from Google Calendar?
I'm using Templater to create a daily note when when I start Obsidian each day. I recently came across the Google Calendar Plugin and I'm having some issues. I have properly authenticated my account and can get a website looking image of my calendar to render in a note. My dream state would be to get a full list of events for today within my daily note. Better yet, I'd love to have these events be "clickable" so that it leverages my "Meetings" template to create a Meeting Note with that Event's title, etc.

Best Way To Manage Tasks & Reminders in Obsidian?
Have you tried the Google Calendar plugin yet? From the documentation, it seems like new events/reminders should push notifications to your phone but haven’t had a chance to test it myself.
