obsidian-latex-suite VS obsidian-numerals

The latex suite github page covers the abilities of the plugin in great depth, so I'd highly recommend checking that out. Instead, I'll focus on how I apply it day-to-day.

Can't live without https://github.com/artisticat1/obsidian-latex-suite. It's the only community plugin I use.

I'm not sure. But I use this Plugin to accelerate my math writing. It's pretty good.

in contrary I prefer ipad in any possible way over epaper device. I use browser to solve leetcode, r/obsidianMD to write notes on the keyboard, I learned touch typing especially for that to be more productive. to organize my notes I use r/Zettelkasten in obsidian with lots of tags and other stuff. for math obsidian has for example latex plug-in

I personnaly use obsidian to write math with this plugin it allows you to type math really quickly with the snippet , it even allows you to create your own snippet . At first it was a bit difficult but as soon I got used to it I was faster than most of the people handwriting.

I’m thinking of something like: https://github.com/artisticat1/obsidian-latex-suite. This is a fantastic plugin for Obsidian, which provides a set of nice snippets to speedup latex note taking. It also offers a “conceal” feature which means that it will conceal things like \alpha and show the greek letter instead (which helps compress long latex source code in some cases).

I would like to replicate as close as possible the setup of https://castel.dev/post/lecture-notes-1/ (that's for VIM). A key ingredient is to be able to have snippets for latex, that speed up note taking. A similar config for Obsidian is to use https://github.com/artisticat1/obsidian-latex-suite.

You can use Obsidian Latex Suite to making typing LaTeX more efficient.

i'm using latex code blocks from numerals plugin, but my stuff is pretty much limited to very basic astrophysics equations so not sure how it will deal with anything more complex

The only big feature Plugin is Numerals, it lets me do calculations in notes

I sometimes find it useful to compute relatively simple math calculations within the context of a note such as a budget to shopping list. I've used apps like Soulver 3 and Numi in the past and would love to see if some of that functionality could be added to Upnote. Similar to what this extension does for obsidian.
