Your favourite Neovim plugins?
"petertriho/nvim-scrollbar" - minimal scrollbar with gitsigns integration. For context, not scrolling
-
nvim-scrollview now supports signs
FYI: Compared to petertriho/nvim-scrollbar: it doesn't have mouse support yet(you win); it will cover the buffer content(you win); the handle is split in half when there is a diagnostic hint visible in the current window(you win); it can show the cursor pos within the handle so that I can know the relative pos of my cursor visible in the current window, i.e. the pink bar in the same link. (you miss it)
- Finally. I've got some free time to work on configuring neovim. Here's the effect of about 2 weeks of free time. It finally feels soooooo cozy
-
Im sharing another thing
This feature exists in nvim-scrollbar (https://github.com/petertriho/nvim-scrollbar). I don't know if that plugin has click support though.
-
nvim-scrollbar and gitsigns.nvim integration
nvim-scrollbar just gained support for displaying git changes in the sidebar thanks to gitsigns.nvim.
-
search results: inline count + blink - a simple function
I do use nvim-hlslens to count search result occurence. What's hindering me to use your function right now is hlslens' integration with nvim-scrollbar
-
What is the coolest, unknown(-ish) plugin that you're using that other people could benefit from?
My only wish with it is that [nvim-scrollbar](https://github.com/petertriho/nvim-scrollbar) could behave a bit nicer with it -- the scrollbar jumps a bit when the smooth scroll is animating.
-
what minimap plugin do you use?
I don't use a minimap but this: https://github.com/petertriho/nvim-scrollbar
- Petertriho/nvim-scrollbar: Extensible Neovim Scrollbar
-
nvim-scrollbar: a scrollbar that can show diagnostics and search results
Can you guys check and see if it works now? I believe it was probably related to this issue https://github.com/petertriho/nvim-scrollbar/issues/16

Get vim background on plugin configuration
So, I'm using bufferline and I want to setup some highlight colors based on the current Neovim theme (light or dark). While Neovim is working, if I run :lua print(vim.o.background) effectively gives me light or dark according to the current Neovim theme. BUT, doing so in the plugin's configuration does not work:
-
How do i get rid of the "NvimTree_1"
if you use bufferline you can override with: lua options = { offsets = { { filetype = "NvimTree", text = "File Explorer", text\_align = "center" } } }

File Browser
I’m not familiar with Nvchad but I’m sure they’re using some kind of plugin that show buffers as tabs, you could try something like bufferline.nvim
- Your favourite Neovim plugins?
-
Where can I get these fancy looking tabs?
there are many ways to achieve that. i recommend bufferline.
-
edgy.nvim: Easily create and manage predefined window layouts, bringing a new edge to your workflow
🧩 Works with any plugin. Check Show and Tell for snippets to integrate even better with plugins like neo-tree.nvim, bufferline.nvim
-
What's a very simple config change that you can't live without?
Left and right arrows to switch between buffers. I used to pair this with giving every buffer its own tab, but now I just use Bufferline which functions similarly.

Customized Everblush Theme
I'm currently using bufferline.nvim with scope.nvim. I made a github repo with the modifications and credits to Everblush, but I'm not sure if it's allowed, since Everblush doesn't have a License. If It's not allowed, then I'll just delete the repo and forke the Everblush repo.

i want to be able to see all my buffers at once. is it possible to have a buffer tree, or multiline buffers?
I used bufferline https://github.com/akinsho/bufferline.nvim
