self hosted image uploading
you can use sharex with 'ass', a self-hosted sharex server (https://github.com/tycrek/ass). hope this is what your looking for, since people are recommending immich, photo prism and nextcloud which are very different from your goals if I understand properly.

Docker container timeouts on same machine and NGINX not resolving local IP
UPDATE: I reisntalled Docker Desktop and my issue went away, I now have to reconfigure it but it was definitely a Docker issue. This means https://github.com/tycrek/ass changed some settings and I'm not sure what. Any ideas on what that could have been?
