  • 10 Things Every Nest.js Developer Should Know
    2 projects | /r/node | 27 Feb 2021
I started working on a reddit clone the other day to test out nestjs more and this new design pattern I was reading about. I split functionality into modules, and each module has sub-features. You can take a look at this feature intended to allow users to register (pretty straight forward). You can see how the controller uses the DTO which I've defined in the dtos directory. The DTO takes advantage of the class validation library which validates each property when the controller endpoint is hit. The entity conversion is done in the service class.
