I am new ; this community seems lovely :) I just want some pointers
If I were starting out, I'd start with creating a paper wallet with a 24 word seed. Print the seed, import it into either Nautilus or Ergo Mobile Wallet and put it somewhere safe.

Ergo and Tails OS?
SafeW just added Firefox support 18 hours ago, and Firefox is the underlying browser for the Tor Browser. You could probably install SafeW as an extension on the Tor Browser, add an ErgoPay read-only wallet, and use Tor Browser to create an ErgoPay transaction on ErgoDex. Then, you could use an Android device with Ergo Wallet and some kind of firewall that forces all your traffic through Tor to sign the transaction.
