You've just started a new job and get your new shiny laptop to work on. What're the first things you install to make your life easier while developing?
I have all my dotfiles/configuration in a github repo. When I get a new machine, I run shell script that downloads most things and uses Stow to setup dotfiles. It's not perfect, but gets me most of the way there. If interested: https://github.com/nathanielhall/configuration

Can someone help me configure Edge Light for my neovim?
This color scheme has a Light option that i like, but i can't find out how to configure it. I can set the colorscheme to edge, but i can't find how to set edge to the light variant.

A pragmatic approach to migrating from VSCode to Neovim
Neovim supports any Vim theme, but I focussed on exclusive extensions where sensible, like it is in the case of colour schemes. In fact, an acclaimed addition to the 0.5 Neovim release was the support for tree-sitter, which provides advanced code parsing functionalities. That means it offers, among other mouth-filling wizardries, support for better syntax highlighting. The nvim-treesitter repository lists supported languages and compatible themes. I found shaunsingh/nord.nvim, avarasu/onedark.nvim, sainnhe/edge and rose-pine/neovim simply irresistible.

Light colorschemes with treesitter support
https://github.com/sainnhe/edge — I've been using this for a while. I use both the dark and light and switch between them, as needed.

what vim theme is your favourite? (and maybe tell us why?)
I've been using edge (https://github.com/sainnhe/edge). I quite like one dark colour scheme and this has stuck with me for the longest time (5-6 months and still counting).
