Is there a compilation of gerbers and bom that could be sent to say jlcpcb and would result in me getting all the pcbs and parts required for a first modular synth setup?
I agree the "free Gerbers" thing is mostly a minefield but one series that I have been pretty happy with is the older Erica Synths "legacy" DIY (https://github.com/erica-synths/diy-eurorack,not the Edu); they sound good and are about as well supported as a free project is going to be. https://infinitemachinery.com/ is great for the more obscure parts needed.

Online Courses for getting started in analog circuitry
Erica's older kit modules — including modules based on portions of the Polivoks, a couple of different delay units, a MIDI to CV converter, and their version of the Wogglebug — were made open source and posted on GitHub after they were discontinued. Certainly not as educationally documented as the Moritz Klein collab, but a good resource, and if your module building plans include having PCBs and front panels fabricated, there's value in going through that process starting from a known-good source before rolling your own.

OpenSource ??
Erica Synths open-sourced a batch of their formerly kit builds , including Polivoks-derived modules and their Swamp takeoff on the Wogglebug.
