Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

I don't use beamer often enough to have a favorite. I like mtheme though

I know Metropolis is a common example of a decent Beamer template, but there are other Beamer examples that look good and just aren't as nicely packaged for use. My current favorite is here: https://github.com/mossr/julia-tufte-beamer

Does anyone know the name if this (minted/pygments) color scheme?
The slides seems to be based on the Metropolis theme. I have never used to display code so I don't know if it includes the highlighting on the code snippets or you need to build it from there.

Installing LaTeX themes on your machine/Emacs org-mode
Most of these presentations are created with beamer and its default themes, although beamer is very handy, these themes are a little bit old-fashioned. We can use modern custom themes like metropolis:
