msphpsql VS wasmer-php

Using the Microsoft github area for this, I grabbed the PHP shared library (.so) files for Debian 10. [Was this the right flavour to grab for Synology?]

I found this older post that links to a Github issue.

I did find this github issue where someone was unable to connect to SERVER\INSTANCE, closed as expected behavior. A response also said requests from Linux must be made over TCP and not UDP. The linked Microsoft documentation says as much, but is slightly confusing:

Just out of curiosity, what was it then? Because if I look at the (pdo)sqlsrv source, LOB's should be possible.

There is no problem with using MSSQL with PHP it's easily doable and supported. See the Microsoft open source extension: https://github.com/microsoft/msphpsql

closest I found was https://github.com/wasmerio/wasmer-php but it seems both abandonded and very rough, proof of concept.

You are right. I am planning to add PHP, similar to wasmer-php[0], but based on Service Worker.
