mollie-api-php VS BTCPay Server

I live in Belgium and I am a professional web developer. I'm about to release a web application where users can purchase credits. And they can spend those credits for in-app purchases. My users can be from anywhere across the world. It doesn’t matter whether they are consumers/private persons without a business/tax-or VAT number or businesses with tax-or VAT number. And invoices should be generated and sent to users for every purchase. When it comes to handling payments, I am planning to use Mollie. It is an alternative to Stripe. Anyone who knows how to handle these administrative tasks in regards to tax/VAT invoices? Is there a third party service that I can rely on and integrate it into my web app?

https://www.paddle.com/ is one example that handles taxes for SaaS apps like mine. But here's the thing: I am using https://www.mollie.com/ for online payments as well. Does Mollie also provides the functionality as Paddle does? I gues snot because I haven't seen Mollie website mentioning things like handling taxes and such. It sucks to use both of them when it comes to payments.

Seems like every time there's a negative Stripe story on here, the inevitable question, "any alternatives?" gets asked. Hell, I was tempted to ask myself. Instead, I decided to search hn.algolia.com to see for myself what others have recommended in the past.

Observations from my data collection:

Sassy appears to have been acquired by FastSpring. Balanced Payments apparently went under but I found another payment service called "Balance" instead. Paymill is defunct but their Github org has a bunch of code. No idea what happened to Spryng Payments but Spryng still exists.

It's also worth mentioning that a true "Stripe alternative" simply does not exist. No one does everything they do and I'm pretty sure most services are lacking in the developer documentation department. Still, having options is always great.

Your best best for now is probably to use the PHP API client directly: https://github.com/mollie/mollie-api-php.

Bitcoin users abandoned bitpay about six years ago during the blocksize wars, because they joined the bcash attack. Now anyone that wants to accept bitcoin payments, and especiallly through lightning, uses the open-source btcpay.

Well done, never mind that guy, he clearly has an axe to grind and doesn't seem to grasp very much other than his out of touch talking points: did you look into using BTCPAY [0] server?

Things are still not as easy as they should, but have seriously advanced in the last few years.

Game changer for us is BTCPay Server since a big point of crypto is removing banks/middlemen. Rock solid and bitcoin goes directly to our wallet that we control the private keys for. No Coinbase. No Bitpay. Just actual bitcoin. Highly recommended

Since the transaction which would be running are not going to be that large of a quantities where each and every % matters, I think it would be safer to go with something like nodeless as referred. For some larger operations https://btcpayserver.org/ would be somewhat better. Thank you for the help!
