might look at https://github.com/rrwick/Trycycler/wiki maybe? also at least for mitochondria I think coordinates try to standardize on a certain locus at the start so might not need circular tools necessarily...quote from mitohifi: "After annotation, MitoHiFi identifies the tRNA-Phe locus and rotates the mitochondrial genome to have its start at the first base of this locus"
