Trying to replace diacrits (Ĝ, Ĥ, Ĵ, Ŝ)
On OSX, try this. There is also the US Extended keyboard: to type the accented letters ĉ, ĝ, ĥ, ĵ or ŝ, press option-6, and then c, g, h, j or s. This also works for the capital letters. For ŭ: press option-B, and then u. This also works for Ŭ.

Esperanto input program for macOS
So I created a program for just that. Use it by holding down the option key and then press either c g h j s u to turn them into one of ĉ ĝ ĥ ĵ ŝ ŭ. Shift also works for making the letter uppercase.
