I need to write (and run) C# code on linux. What IDE would be able to do it?
Have you tried VSCodium? The open source, non MS branded one found here: https://github.com/VSCodium/vscodium

Working on homework for school
u/RICKSEA you should try testing this powershell script in either VSCode or VSCodium.

"Open download folder" in Deluge torrent client initially opened Thunar fine, but its behavior changed into opening VSCodium after I installed it. Tried uninstalling it and the behavior reverted, but I want to keep VSCodium installed.
It turns out that my search-engine-fu wasn't good enough. I found the solution from VSCodium's GitHub issue tracker.

Using Spyder vs Visual Code Studio
Maybe have a look at VS Code (or VS Codium which is basically the same thing without the Microsoft stuff) Check what extensions people use with say.. Data Science projects, give it a week or so.
- What IDE do you use?

[ANN] I Love Ruby updated
Hello All, I have updated my ruby book I Love Ruby, and it's available here https://i-love-ruby.gitlab.io/ or at https://cliz.in/ilr I came across https://languagetool.org/, installed it as VSCodium https://vscodium.com/ plugin and was able to use it to corrects 100's of grammatical mistakes. I came to realize the misery many readers might have felt as I was correcting my book. Furthermore, I also thank the good souls who did send money to me by PayPal, people who have commented about my book, told corrections etc. It sure serves as a motivation to continue to update my book. I am grateful to you people. Some people on Reddit have asked some topics to be covered, they will be written about when I find the time. May be in near future I will write about the following topics:
-

what's really important
yeah, that'd be crazy... especially, when there's a flatpak and an appimage if they really didn't want to add the repo..

any apps programs like this
https://vscodium.com/ this is a code editor. But if you type long text, folding is really useful. It lets you fold titles on click, so the content is hidden. Just like in Ms word when you click the little triangles. It also lets you fold list items. But I'm not sure if it has a real time rendering like ghostwriter (for making titles big etc.), maybe there's an extension for it.
