The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

FUN FACT: For 5 months in 2004, the King Black Dragon (and 100+ other monsters) had the wrong combat levels - and nobody knows why
Essentially, the packer that creates the game cache does so by iterating over each of the NPC configs (example), packing the parameters in the order they're defined. If the combat level is set manually in the config (either because it's 0, or because it's overridden like Hazeel/Combat Instructor), then it will be packed somewhere near the beginning of the NPC definition.

Authentic Runescript
https://github.com/RuneStar/leaks has a lot of other interesting stuff about runescript/rs in general

Riot extorts League of Legends legacy version fan project
No RSPS server uses leaked code from RuneScape. All of the server implementations have come from reverse engineering the client.
Also, all of RS content is written in RuneScript, Jagex's custom scripting lang, so you wouldn't be able to easily use a leak (nor would you want to.. it's hideous: https://github.com/RuneStar/leaks/blob/master/101.0.jpg)

- How realistic is it to build a headless OSRS "third-party" botting client from scratch?
-
How do I get rid of the "Challenges Are Here" dialog for good?
It would actually probably infinitely less sophisticated than the modern open source oldschool runescape clients.

Help creating a java ebuild (Maven)?
I've been wanting to write an ebuild for https://github.com/open-osrs/runelite
- Jagex reverses course, says that they will work with Runelite and Runelite HD creator to allow third-party graphics mod until their official version is ready

How Runescape catches botters, and why they didn’t catch me
It's a well known fact that if you don't move the mouse or the server doesn't get any mouse input for X game cycles, it logs you out. You can even see the same logic in OSRS: https://github.com/open-osrs/runelite/blob/804a3e85b81b1fb101dfff14e9e9302cb4331bfe/runescape-client/src/main/java/Client.java#L3856
What are some alternatives?
When comparing leaks and runelite you can also consider the following projects:
OCVBot - The OldSchool Runescape Computer Vision Bot
2009Scape - We have moved! https://gitlab.com/2009scape/2009scape
SRL-Development
emote-clue-items - A RuneLite plugin which highlights items that are required for emote clue steps.
