I could use people's help with my DOS eBook.
Gotcha. Well, I suspect getting DOS to boot natively on modern machines is going to be a hiding to nothing, so your best bet will probably be some sort of minimal Linux distro that fires up dosbox on boot. It's a few years old now but this tutorial might be a good starting point.
