Can I store user passwords in a different table than the Users table? using Laravel auth?
Unless you think there's some other benefit than simplify searching both posts and users, there are much, much better solutions. There are packages built on Laravel Scout like this one for Algolia or this one for ElasticSearch that provide excellent aggregators for searching.
