What's the deal with people using spellings like "v*ccine" and "M0dern@" when asking questions about, well, the vaccines?
In case anyone is thinking this works or wondering if it might, it doesn't. Not in any reasonably built system, anyway. Laravel Profane is a simply third party package for the Laravel framework that adds a "censored word list" validator that includes character replacements for things like this (I linked to the character lookup specifically). That's a free package that anyone using Laravel can implement in a few minutes. I personally built something similar in an afternoon. It's not difficult and should be included in any simple censoring functionality, much less one used by Facebook.
