How do you learn the paths for dungeons + learn boss attacks?

As a tank, how do I know which route is "correct"?
Today in an Everbloom +18 I pulled a pack that the route I got from keystone.guru had on it. No one died, we didnt wipe, but I proceeded to get flamed by 2 of the dps once the pack was dead. "Wtf is this" and "First time tanking?" were exact quotes... for pulling 1 pack that i apparently wasnt supposed to.
