Using the repeating todos repeating todos plugin and the note overview plugin is also helpful with this but it would be nice to have a bit more control on the app version of Joplin.

Note overview plugin. Create notes that contain the real time search results of all your other notes. This is the plugin that made Joplin really powerful in solving my note-taking requirements.
