does anyone have a application to remotely control mpv with timestamps in plaintext?
Altough I seldom use it, there is a plugin you can use that offers that functinality ( Seek-to.lua. Actually, there is a GitHub page with several scripts to add different functionalities to mpv (Mpv Scripts.

Mpv Thumbnail script help
Hi! Are there anyone here who uses this script? I tried to do everything according to the guide written in the readme, but it never worked for me. To be more precise, for example, the folder for scripts I did not have at all, and I tried to create it in different places and add these two .lua scripts. That didn't make them work either. There was no preview and still no preview. Maybe someone can tell me how to fix it (preferably in detail, because I just recently started my acquaintance with mpv), or offer another solution to my request (although I myself have not found anything else, except this github) Thank you in advance for your help!

Earlier i used this lua script for thumbnail preview that didnt worked link. neither did it worked by hovering over timeline nor by shift+t and reported 'Thumbnailing unavailable'

I'm having trouble running the thumbnail generator script. It was working before but now that I reinstalled Windows and installed a newer portable version of mpv it's not
The latest release of mpv_thumbnail_script doesn't have the bugfix. Grab my copy of it which I've patched with the upstream fix.

MPV + yt-dlp + thumbnails anyone?
I've only managed to run thumbnails from local files with this lua script. However, I am struggling to make it work with youtube streams.

osc_tethys.lua now supports mpv_thumbnail_script_server.lua
from https://github.com/TheAMM/mpv_thumbnail_script/releases to ~/.config/mpv/scripts

Thumbnail on seekbar
The versions in my post are from a fork with a fix for this issue. I'm not sure if the new version on the wiki contain these patches.
