Waterfox G5.1.8 killed audio from YouTube for me. (Yes I am running Linux, how did you know?)
I don’t use regular YouTube I use https://yewtu.be and my audio worked fine on that versio.
- You do yewtu.be? Maybe I'm redacted but if frycooks want to gather ingredients for dishes they should use the mirror site "yewtu.be" . I think it do not give them views in inny facet

Someone on a different thread mentioned they watch his videos on yewtu.be instead of on YouTube so that Stephen doesn't get any views or clicks which I think is a great idea.

Stop using youtube-dl and use yt-dlp instead.
This conflicts with yewtube, which incidentally, you may be interested in.
