Either validate, or cast your input to the expected type. I specifically have an input data class than handles this, e.g. $input->int('foo.bar')

BTW, these features may be new, but people have been doing this for years. All it took was an empty interface to "implement" on your input DTOs and some implementation of `ArgumentValueResolverInterface`. Here's an example.
