Yak Shaving: A Short Lesson on Staying Focused
I've been doing the "How To Take Smart Notes"[0] thing. So far, it's been working quite well for me.
I've been using Obsidian[1] and a few plugins like Incremental Writing[2][3] to help me write. Focused less on publishing and more on writing for me.

Has anyone managed to implement a spaced repetition system to iterate fleeting notes into permanent notes?
I think something more appropriate (and less brittle) for that/my purpose would be u/jamesm8's Incremental writing plugin (which will soon be on the obsidian plugin system but currently requires manual installation). It's more GTD like (but not identical to) in that it provides a list (currently in its own note) of notes/blocks sorted by self-rated priority and (I think) whether the note is passed the due date or is currently due.

How to use the notes you take
Are you using Obsidian? Check out [Smart Random Note](https://github.com/erichalldev/obsidian-smart-random-note) or [Advanced Random Note](https://github.com/karstenpedersen/obsidian-advanced-random-...)
The former lets you "random note" search results, so you could query the tag and then random note it. The latter allows for similar customization of the random note feature.

Space repetition for atomic notes?
I want to create something like flashcard. Not like the usual flashcard with single line question and answer. I have already tried the famous plugins like obsidian-spaced-repetition, obsidian-recall and flashcards-obsidian. But all of them are designed to have multiple flashcards in a single note. Though spaced repetition plugin display my files, everything below white lines are discarded. Im looking for a solution where i can use my existing atomic notes as flashcards. Title of the note should be in the front side of the card and content in the back side. And it should use a similar algorithm and interface used by plugins like spaced repetition. obsidian-smart-random-note This is the only plugin close to what im looking. Unfortunately, it doesn't support Anki algorithm. How can i configure my atomic notes to be severed as flashcards?
- find a random note with a certain tag?

Do you revise all your notes every time you create a new note?
https://github.com/erichalldev/obsidian-smart-random-note this plugins is really cool to open random notes from tags, search bar, and so on.
- [Question] - Is there a way to open a random note from a specific folder?

Then I just use search or dataview plugin (which is nice since it can show more data about note in wider space) to review the list of raw notes / stumps / wips and take my pick. You can also use https://github.com/erichalldev/obsidian-smart-random-note plugin to pick one at random.
