homebridge-smartthings VS midea-ac-py

I’ve got Homebridge with this SmartThings plug-in and it’s been nearly flawless.

But other than that, all seems well so far, including a Homebridge with several plugins including the nifty new SmartThings plugin.

The project is here on Github, and it's "home bridge-smartthings-ik" in the HB plugin search.

I set this up and used midea-discover from another github repo ( GitHub - mac-zhou/midea-ac-py: Home Assistant Custom Integration for Midea Group(Hualing, Senville, Klimaire, AirCon, Century, Pridiom, Thermocore, Comfee, Toshiba, Carrier, Goodman, Friedrich, Samsung, Kenmore, Trane, Lennox, LG and much more) Air Conditioners via LAN. ) to determine my device ID:

Sorry to ask a followup, but how do you control the fan speed? I don't see anything on Mac Zhou's Home Assistant integration https://github.com/mac-zhou/midea-ac-py or on the ESPhome webpage, https://esphome.io/components/climate/midea.html. Thank you!!

At the very least, the automations built for Midea work with LG.

Hello, i´m new comer into the world of automation and smart home, and, up until now, i´ve been able to connect all my smart gadgets. But the problem came when i tried to connect my midea AC to it. I´ve tried following this link mac-zhou/midea-ac-py: This is a custom component for Home Assistant to integrate the Midea Air Conditioners via the Local area network. (github.com) , but the devices appear as unavaiable and can´t use them. What am i doing wrong? I installed media smart aircon through hacs and followed the steps in the link. Nothing... Thanks for the help!

I'm going to answer my own question as it might be useful to someone else - the Gree HACS add-on did not work for me at all, nor did the Gree integration, but the "Midea Smart Aircon" add-on did. Installed via HACS, followed the instructions, worked a charm.
