Reddit CEO doubles down on attack on Apollo developer in drama-filled AMA
Lemmy is simpler, pick an instance and click communities at the top. That'll show you the top communities (subreddits) that the instance has or participates in (which can included communities primarily hosted on other websites). Sure, it can get more complicated, but getting going is easier than on Mastodon where you need to follow people or setup a relay. The federation model will help negate the need for digg to reddit style migrations because inherently one instance goes rogue others can pick up the slack without major impact.

Just created an instance, why can't I see any other instances?
The quickest way to get connected to a bunch of other instances right away is to configure relays to fetch stuff from everyone else who uses those relays. There's a good list here: https://github.com/brodi1/activitypub-relays

Looking for a friendly relay for our instance @maple.social.
All I have found was https://github.com/brodi1/activitypub-relays which was great, a few started working right away, but it seems like a random set of servers, I dunno
