There’s a mismatch between the cipher used by the roomba2 plugin (actually uses dorita980 in the background) and what’s supported by the j7. https://github.com/karlvr/homebridge-roomba2/issues/81 go there and you should find the instructions to get it done. Requires manually editing one of the files in the dorita980 module.

It sounds more like you just want a trigger point to tell the bot to clean a specific room. If that's what you want, here's a github feature request for that in the homebridge plug in: https://github.com/karlvr/homebridge-roomba2/issues/9

I've been trying to set up Homebridge on Hyper-V using the guide provided here: https://github.com/homebridge/homebridge/wiki/Install-Homebridge-on-Windows-10-Using-Hyper-V

Search on the main page (https://homebridge.io/) for plugins that work with the devices you can't add directly to homekit. If you find what you need then you're probably good to go ahead with it, though not all the plugins are completely reliable. Sometimes there's more than one for a given device though.
