How do you turn off the yellow highlighting after your done with the search?
I used :noh for a while but now Iām using https://github.com/rktjmp/highlight-current-n.nvim, which does more than what you might be looking for (it only highlights the current match).

Plugin: bling.vim
highlight-current-n may do what you want, though it "holds" the highlight until you move, it doesn't flash.
