Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Need an on-the-go sax.
The designer here. You can monitor the project to build fully assembled haxophones on this page. And here you can see an instrument built by one of the project followers. Feel free to contact me directly for questions or feedback. Cheers!

"Haxophone" open source EWI
See this discussion on github: https://github.com/jcard0na/haxo-hw/discussions/10 You will see that there is a person there (raychmond) who's ordered a batch of 5 PCBs and has an extra one. Maybe no one has claimed it yet and you can get it from him.

Actually the pressure sensor is on the PCB. Pressure is transferred from the mouthpiece through a flexible silicon pipe. You can see the details in the assembly instructions here: https://github.com/jcard0na/haxo-hw/blob/main/docs/assembly....

- midimech: An alternative musical note layout system and visualizer for grid controllers like the LinnStrument, LaunchPad X, and more. Unlike the layout of other instruments, notes that sound good together are closer together, and notes that sound worse are furthest apart.
- Midimech: a new isomorphic musical layout system and visualizer for grid controllers supporting the LinnStrument, LaunchPad X, and keyboard. Currently in Development.

Newbie question about grid (isomorphic) based instruments.
Yeah it would be nicer if it had more vertical range but it would be more expensive. I should mention I primarily use an alternate layout on the Linnstrument 128 when I play and it seems to have good enough range for most two-handed stuff I play.

Learning instruments for sake of production
If you can afford it, the LinnStrument (128 version) is a really good option. It's quite easy to learn so it's effective for writing and bringing some more articulation and technique to your music. I use an alternate layout based on the circle of 5ths which makes it even easier to play and experiment with chord progressions (https://github.com/flipcoder/linnstrument-wholetone).

I own a LinnStrument and it's fantastic. I created a custom note layout for it to make it easier to play: https://github.com/flipcoder/linnstrument-wholetone. The firmware is also open source. It feels like the Linux of instruments.
