TypeDB : A Strongly-typed Database

How does it compare to, say grakn (renamed https://vaticle.com/, I think?), or draph (https://dgraph.io/), or Ontotext's GraphDB (https://www.ontotext.com/products/graphdb/), or Datomic?

Edge database looks pretty freakin awesome. It basically seems to re-write SQL and Graph databases together to create some new-ish programming language. It takes care of all the problems GraphQL has, and seems to be built separately but on top of postgres. It is really something unique, beautiful, and powerful. They don't have a security layer yet or a cloud hosting environment, but both are in the works. However, postgres still suffers from the scalable problems we all know. If you like unique fetching and strong typing, also check out TypeDB. It doesn't make its own list number because there is not cloud version, middleware, etc. However, worth checking out.

If you find yourself limited by triplestores, there's also a new growing area of development in knowledge engines, which allow edges-of-edges, entailed relations, hypergraph relations, and more of the power you'd get from full logic programming. TypeDB (recently renamed from Grakn) is an example of that type of database.

grakn.ai : The Database for AI

I did some traveling around the western US in late 2022 to take stock of where my life was and where I was going. My first encounter with regular expressions was in a solution for a coding problem on Codewars, specifically Count the smiley faces! Which asks you to count the number of smiley faces in a given array but the catch is each smiley can have 1 of 2 kinds of eyes (: or ;), may or may not have a nose represented by 1 of 2 symbols (- or ~), and 1 of 2 symbols (D or ) ) for the smile. In total there are 12 different combinations that are a valid smiley. I, being the young and naive programmer I was, hard coded all 12 of those faces and checked every element against that list. And it worked! But the top solution included some strange syntax that I had never seen before

@OP DO NOT go on the path of perfecting it and parting with your time and money. Go with Jake Vanderplas's whirlwind tour of python whirlwind tour of python to get some basics and then jump into the river codewars and swim upstream daily and religiously until you reach to katas level 5. You will be good to go. My personal experience.

You can try Codewars, they have a diverse range of practice problems(Cryptography, Data Science, etc.). Basically if you wanna get good in a programming language, you have to work on a lot of projects and practice problems.
