Plain Text Accounting
Yes, echoing the enthusiasm for gnucash! I'm just passing 3 years tracking every credit card purchase over to investment allocations in gnucash.
At the end of the day, double entry accounting is double entry accounting and you should be able to move transaction journals between the tools. I haven't tested any of these, but it looks like there are various techniques / tools that make gnucash <-> ledger possible.

How does everyone enter their transaction on the go on android ? or does everyone wait until they get home and enter them on computer.
Is there any software that has the functionality that I can enter transactions on my android phone and then when I get back I just import those transactions into my file in gnucash. I see that the app is not updated since 2018, I am not sure about this one on github https://github.com/nicktylah/gnucash-mobile since its not updated in over a year, also on the gnucash wiki moneymanagerex is mentioned under the Gnucash mobile topic, has anyone used that with gnucash?

FOSS alternative to My Expenses? GNUcash?
There is also Gnucash Mobile (F-Droid) which I have not tried, it seems pretty minimalistic given the description but has at least been updated this year.
