Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

GitLab merge requests menubar app for MacOS
I think I can make a similar app, but you'll be able to customize the query path to the gitlabs's merge request endpoint (https://docs.gitlab.com/ee/api/merge_requests.html). So it will be possible to return any types of merge requests. If you think that it could be useful for you, please create an issue.
