ghs-server VS gloomhavensecretary

Did you experience server resets? Like updates from client don't get pushed and on reconnect/refresh an old state got loaded? I have an issue for that and just applied a fix https://github.com/Lurkars/ghs-server/issues/10

Sad to hear you experience those issue. First of all you can try so use your own (local) server, if capable doing it (https://github.com/Lurkars/ghs-server). Gloomhaven Secretariat should work fine remotely. The public server is hosted in Germany, so I already got a complain about latency when accessed overseas, but it can also be run locally, if you're okay with some more technical institutions: https://github.com/Lurkars/ghs-server otherwise the public instance may also completely fulfill your needs.

If you followed GitHub activity, you may already noticed, that I added server support. So it is now possible as in old GHH to share game state between multiple clients (devices). Since the app runs in the browser, a separate server component is required for this. For more information, just take a look at https://github.com/Lurkars/ghs-server. A Demo Server is also running by now. The biggest upcoming feature missing yet is support of different rights per game. In future it should be possible that one client can only update status of one specific character for example. Also hidden initiatives are not supported yet, so every client sees the same.

If you're already familiar with Gloomhaven Helper (GHH), Gloomhaven Secretary (GHS https://gloomhaven-secretary.de) and X-Haven Assistant (XHA https://github.com/Tarmslitaren/FrosthavenAssistant) are basically clonesof GHH. GHS also has very similar menus and settings, so should work same as GHH, XHA has a bit more mobile friendly menus, but from functionality very identical and easy to adopt.

Yeah, I only know about the KS update and no more infos were dropped. So it's also unknown if the official app will be FH only... So maybe still no replacement for helper. I did hard do implement all functionality of the orig. App, so worth a try. Should not be difficult to switch because everything should work the same. I even have multiple clients support with a seperate server component, so that's the only thing working a bit different. As mentioned there are some successors available. I am creator of Gloomhaven Secretary (GHS), which should fully cover the GHH functionality, supports all released edition (GH, FC, JOTL and also CS), has a few improvements and some new features.
