I took heavy inspiration from this article by Inigo Quilez. On how to use domain warping to produce organic-looking textures. The basic idea was to stack layers of noise on top of each other until fantastical textures emerged. This is not a completely new idea but can trace its origin back as far as 1983 with the invention of Perlin noise by Ken Perlin. The algorithm has gone through several iterations; the first version can be found in this git repository built using python and OpenGL. I had to create a second version to be able to host it on this website using WebGL and finally the third which is running on generativstudios.app You can explore the algorithm by using the random button as well as changing the parameters in the 'Tune Tab'.

Created a web app to allow people to play around with the algorithms I create. My first creation is a rewrite of an old algorithm of mine. Link to app. You find all code (here)[https://github.com/honungsburk/generative-studios]
