iOS jank - Reproducible example
according google devs not recommend to use it, but my short-term solution is disabling metal and use opengl. I use this version: https://github.com/acoutts/flutter-engines-no-metal/tree/master/1.22.3 of the engine and haven't any problems with animations and performance. Right now my app using by 1000 iOS users and about 2000 android users. Another think you can try is run animations behind the splash screen.
