  • How do I build hugo site like fireship.io
    1 project | /r/webdev | 4 May 2023
Hi guys, I'm just started a blog with hugo and wonder how to customize my site further without relying on themes. So, I remembered the guy behind fireship built fireship.io with hugo, after reading the repo for a while, I'm completely lost. I don't understand how he can build components with svelte, build with vite and then use it in hugo. If you get the gist of it, please shed some light on me. If I want to achieve something similar in React + hugo, how can I do about that? And what do I need to understand about the build tool to write vite config based on the techs that I use? Thank you very much!

Taking a look at the fireship.io GitHub repo: https://github.com/fireship-io/fireship.io, they use Hugo for their blog. I'd like to keep the website's speed as fast as possible and would like to avoid API requests if I can just prerender the pages (I prerender the Angular Universal pages already).
