  • So I've been working on a full FFXIV game script

You might want to check out ffxiv-dataming on github too. Here’s a link to the github. The coolest thing you can do is clone the repository so that you can use a code editor to search for specific terms. Or you can use the search feature on GitHub as well like this. Good luck though to you though! What you have is definitely much more readable.
  • I'm once again asking for the 1 feature WoW undeniably does better than FFXIV

  • Why doesn't XIV have a resource like Wowhead?

This is the master list I found. Actions are one of the files on the main list, but you need actionstransient for the descriptions/tooltips. Found a lot of interesting things already.
  • what does this message mean?
    1 project | /r/ffxiv | 6 Jul 2022
Apparently the message is in game files (https://github.com/xivapi/ffxiv-datamining/blob/master/csv/LogMessage.csv) but i don't know what makes it appear.

Sure! Profitability just takes into account both price and sale frequency, but adding the option to sort by one or the other shouldn't be a problem. And yeah the category thing is a result of just taking the data 1:1 from the sheet on XIVAPI, which is why there are two "Primary Tools" categories. Next update ill go through and regroup some things though.

On that page there's a link to a github where it looks like someone has already pulled everything into .csv files: https://github.com/xivapi/ffxiv-datamining/tree/master/csv IDK anything about ff14 but maybe that's what you're looking for right there? Ctrl-F 'items'

Make a copy and adjust the ilvl and perception/gathering values and the table will update with a little bit of color coding, feel free to filter/sort as needed. Venture data is sourced from a few of the CSVs at https://github.com/xivapi/ffxiv-datamining
  • How are they doing this?? I've seen other people doing this in Limsa

Anyways, took me about 3 hours to reverse engineer HOTBAR.DAT, using https://github.com/EmperorArthur/FFXIV_Settings/blob/master/FFXIV_settings_common.py (has the file header format, but it's really simple, plus the XOR value - but again, 0x31 is the most common value in the file. It's really easy to deduce this yourself, but it saved me a little time) plus this https://github.com/xivapi/ffxiv-datamining/blob/master/csv/Emote.csv for emote values.
