[DEV] Symfonium: Music player & cast, the self hosted music player
For my desktop, I use Feishin, previously Sonixd, which plays nice the same Jellyfin library. Recently, the dev even proposed a dockerized version!!!

Feedback so far:
* either don't require the `http://` or `https://` prefix for the server URL, or add a note informing users that they need to add it themselves. Technical users can usually figure it out, but others will get angry or lost.
* your icon is slightly larger than literally every other icon in my Dock, and it's mildly jarring
* I have an extensive music library that loads quickly and properly in https://github.com/jeffvli/feishin, my current Jellyfin music player of choice, but nothing loads on the home screen and I see no error at all
I'll definitely keep an eye out for updates, I'd love a good Jellyfin native client for macOS. Consider open sourcing it (or pieces of it), I'd be more than happy to contribute! Good luck!

Jellyfin like Spotify?
Someone's reported the javascript errors as well, but I still need to debug it since I'm not sure what it's erroring from. If you have a chance, can you confirm that it's the same error that's occurring in this issue?
- self hosting but not missing out on new music

Can I get charged for having FLAC content on my server hosted at Germany?
Ah i mis-interpreted and thought you were in germany. Don't know wether Deezer is available in your market. "Extracting" from Deezer is not an official deezer feature, its rather "ripping" flacs from their API (against Deezer's TOS of course). But made very easy with projects like https://gitlab.com/Bockiii/deemix-docker

Any type of software to download your Spotify playlist?
Deemix is good for Deezer songs, which can easily be converted from Spotify. However, there is Spotify integration built in, although I don't know how to get it working.
-
What's yout preferred selfhosted music streaming suite?
spotify playlist -> deemix docker -> folders -> emby
-
cannot download when behind nginx but can when using ip
you can also try to just use an older image (see https://gitlab.com/Bockiii/deemix-docker/container_registry/1143119 for tags) but the last version upgrade was 3 months ago, so I assume its your custom swag config that is the problem.

Rip spotify music
Most spotify downloader projects can ingest a spotify playlist and lookup the songs on other platforms (download the songs from deezer or youtube). For that i can recommend "deemix" https://gitlab.com/Bockiii/deemix-docker

PSA: Ability for a serverwide login is back!
In order to use this with the docker image, you only need to add an environment variable to your call ( see the Readme file in the repo).
