I am done. I give up
Yeah, I've heard of it. I contribute to it. I pay people to write it. I run my business on it.
If you're so inclined to work on things for your own pleasure, please do give us a hand by solving some of these.

`esqueleto-3.5.4.0` supports `OverloadedRecordDot` for `SqlExpr`
PR that implements the feature: https://github.com/bitemyapp/esqueleto/pull/310

Functional vs object-oriented DSLs
I don't think there is a fundamental difference between OOP and FP in this regard, but I am not familiar with a very good example of a functional DSL. For SQL, I found https://github.com/bitemyapp/esqueleto, which is nice but naturally has some Monad-related syntax, so I guess it won't convince many Java programmers ;)

I am done. I give up
That’s exactly what I started: https://gitlab.com/logotype/fixparser
It’s a quite boring project, but it is niche - and there is no alternative, at least not in the JS/TS ecosystem. Many startups/crypto/financial institutions (including YC startups) uses and are paying customers of my product.
I’ve tried finding an investor (including YC) to grow the project but no-one is interested. It doesn’t matter, I’ll keep going anyway. But if someone is interested reach me at [email protected]
What are some alternatives?
hasql - The fastest PostgreSQL libpq-based driver for Haskell
servant - Main repository for the servant libraries — DSL for describing, serving, querying, mocking, documenting web applications and more!
opaleye
wai-conduit - Haskell Web Application Interface
beam - A type-safe, non-TH Haskell SQL library and ORM
password - datatypes and functions for easily working with passwords in Haskell
dailyprogrammer
groundhog - This library maps datatypes to a relational model, in a way similar to what ORM libraries do in OOP. See the tutorial https://www.schoolofhaskell.com/user/lykahb/groundhog for introduction
