There are also some logging libraries which try to make logcat but "better" and can write to disk, I haven't tried these myself https://github.com/elvishew/xLog

Websockets in icp?
I have a sample demonstrating web sockets integration with the IC using Java Agent. The agent runs in Helidon web service container. So you will have to run it somewhere locally. But Java Agent is using native binary ICP protocol, same as Rust or JS agents. You can also use Identities, the sample does not use it currently, I might add such functionality later. The package is also available on Maven central. We are working on more samples and professional, detailed documentation.
