stabilize.nvim: core PR feedback/testing requested!
I just opened a PR to Neovim core adding a splitscroll option that should replace my plugin stabilize.nvim when the option is unset. I have yet to run into any issues with the PR but further testing/feedback would be welcome.

"Smooth window splitting" in the same way as "smooth scrolling"?
It's not smooth, but a different approach that may solve your issue is https://github.com/luukvbaal/stabilize.nvim
