Performance of Bound Functions vs Closures
I remember V8 working on some improvements to help with bind-bound functions performance which used to be noticeably worse. A quick search brought up: https://github.com/davidmarkclements/v8-perf which shows that now (then - 6 years ago), bind performance is now about on par with other functions.
