Noticing the huge number of web related commits for Flutter 1.26 - Excited!
Ah I see. One reason might be that Flutter implements material.io's components. Since those behaviors are not defined in the guidelines, they are left to the community to implement using packages (unlike other platforms Material supports). For example, https://github.com/m3uzz/date_time_picker.

I encourage you to look at the implementation of useAnimationController. There's far more complexity there than the explicit version.
