Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Please Stop Using Grey Text
Another useful extension is Dark Background And Light Text https://github.com/m-khvoinitsky/dark-background-light-text-... . It's a one-button toggle to turn most text and backgrounds into colors you prefer. Great when you run across one of these accursed low-contrast sites.

Show HN: Hacker News dark mode userstyle with legibility improvements
I created a userstyle[1] to add "dark mode" to HN, along with some increased text sizes, white space, and line heights to improve legibility:

I think this is a solved problem with user styles.
HN design has stayed mostly the same for years, I've been running this userstyle on it [1] for years without issue.
