Recreated AvdanOS on macOS! (yep, this is macOS!)
Calendar: I usually only have 1 event per day, and this calendar shows only that event. i heavily modified THIS widget (Modified version here) for it. (i removed the symbols next to the events, the pink circle is a widget that i made that displays a photo of that circle.)

QUESTION: Is there an app to show upcoming calendar events in a mini (narrow) window?
You can do this with the uberisicht app. This is a "widget" style app that you can use to display stuff on your desktop. Take a look at the widgets at http://tracesof.net/uebersicht-widgets/. You might be interested in the iCal widget (https://github.com/djbrooks111/ical-widget) or cuteIcal widget (https://github.com/ctakemoto/cuteical.widget). Once you have the data displayed then you can change the position, size, font, etc. It lives on the desktop so no window decorations around it.

Spotify Player: For the album artwork, i used mybar (Modified version here), removed all of it's components except the album artwork thing, and moved it to the right position. for the song name and artist, i used these widgets: 1. SONG NAME WIDGET 2. ARTIST WIDGET (i didn't find the original!) and modified them.
