Best combination of free/open-source software packages to create a home network filter phone app?
this unofficial API for pfSense, which only has endpoints for pfSense, which means I'll probably have to learn and edit the code to add my own endpoints for all these packages

pfSense has not been updated since February 2022. Where can I get latest security patches
I don't know if you've looked at this project jaredhendrickson13/pfsense-api but I have found it to be extremely useful as a pretty solid API. I haven't done anything with multiple WAN connections and changing the gateways with it but I've done quite a bit with DHCP reservations with it and it's been solid. It's not an official package from the repos and I've found that you don't want to jump on updates immediately after they come out but he's been really good at getting updates out very quickly after releases.

Firewalls
There are some 3rd party solutions, but they were pricey or not that secure. In the end we've opted to build out our own base config, and then we leverage an API add on (https://github.com/jaredhendrickson13/pfsense-api). This automates our backups and some other things.
- Anybody have a shell script to disable/enable a Firewall Rule?
