The #1 tip to familiarize with new JavaScript codebases
In my years as a software engineer, I have probably looked at hundreds of codebases. Too many to count. I struggled a lot with understanding where the relevant code is most of the time. Normally, asking for help what I should look for and guidance in tickets will bring me forward. Slowly and surely I will understand what the code is doing. And you will too. Some people are better at this and some people will be slow. No shame. Most code is complex. But I found a simple tool that will make it easier for you. It is called code-complexity and you can use it as the following code snippet shows:
jscpd
- Copy/paste detector for programming source code, supports 150 formats
- Ask HN: What tools do you use to discover duplicate code in a large repository?
-
Any rust-based resources to check the duplicate of js
something like jscpd or find-duplicate-dependencies and is written in rust
-
Are you using a CI/CD tool for your Flutter project?
PR validation. This checks the code quality, code format, static analysis, build validation, and tests. I use CLI tools such as Dart Code Metrics and JSCPD.

Node.js Packages and Resources
jscpd - Copy/paste detector for source code.
What are some alternatives?
code-maat - A command line tool to mine and analyze data from version-control systems
localtunnel - expose yourself
phpinsights - 🔰 Instant PHP quality checks from your console
clipboard-cli - Access the system clipboard (copy/paste)
scc - Sloc, Cloc and Code: scc is a very fast accurate code counter with complexity calculations and COCOMO estimates written in pure Go
themer - 🎨 themer takes a set of colors and generates themes for your apps (editors, terminals, wallpapers, and more).
sloc - simple tool to count SLOC (source lines of code)
atmo - :heavy_check_mark: Mock data for your prototypes and demos. Remote deployments to Zeit now.
switch-vs-object - 🤓 compares the cognitive complexity between two ways of mapping values to keys
emoj - Find relevant emoji from text on the command-line :open_mouth: :sparkles: :raised_hands: :horse: :boom: :see_no_evil:
cost-of-modules - Find out which of your dependencies are slowing you down 🐢
lessmd - A small markdown viewer/converter for unix terminal.
