Building a PHP Blog Platform from Scratch without a Framework
PHP is used by 79.2% of all the websites whose server-side programming language we know. I built a blogging platform called Luminosity by implementing MVC pattern using a custom framework. The router uses Docblocks and the Reflection API to call methods in the controllers.

Teenage Programmers
I had the same idea. We had a last year project to do in high school and i came up with that. A month and a half of sporadic work. Prototyping the website on desktop, with Apache, MySQL, PHP, and then deploying it on a smartphone environment connected to the internet through a free one year domain 24/7 till the coming exam. Uses CKeditor and Responsive File Manager, every account has its own folder to store pictures and whatnots. Has email verification, password reset, newsletter subscription, votes, comments with replies, tags, and blogs themselves, also has CSRF protection and SQL injection protection, only vulnerability it has is that users can post any kind of website as blog, doesn't have any kind of report system. The style is almost the same of the Medium platform. Now I'm in first year of university. If you know PHP, MySQL, and some kind of server like Apache, you should be good. https://github.com/Umbe-Exe/Blogs
