Custom 2.1.1 item textures adapted for Fabric & Chime Mod
There are a few tools out there for converting CIT to Chime but they're mostly partially functional and distributed as source code in languages I've never used. https://github.com/emilyploszaj/chime-converter did the best job, moved the .png and .json model files into a folder Chime could access and got all the direct texture replacements working for the spawn egg objects. That gave me enough working examples to patch up the rest manually.

is there any fabric mod that is the "custom items textures"
Otherwise, there are two converters Chime Converter, and OptiChime. OptiChime doesn’t work with this pack quite yet, I’m not sure about Chime Converter, though.

OptiFine alternatives? More specifically looking for mods that allow for OptiFine textures.
I can't find any resource packs out there that actually utilize it, though (probably because the update is still really new). Even the examples they give on the wiki are interesting enough

Anyone know a fabric alternative to Optifine's Custom Item Textures (CIT)?
the main branch is for 1.16, but there is a 1.17 branch: https://github.com/emilyalexandra/chime/tree/1.17

If you’re familiar with resource packs already, you can read the Chime documentation and try to convert it manually.
What are some alternatives?
