Update Suppression in 1.19
carpet-fixes with /carpet-fixes reIntroduceInstantBlockUpdates
-
how to get old update suppression in 1.19?
Check out carpet-fixes (https://github.com/fxmorin/carpet-fixes). It's a fabric mod that allows yo to re-enable update suppression as well as item shadowing if you want. It's server-side so if you're running a server clients don't need it.
-
If I get 1 million rails/banners is it possible for me to slice a portal?
Its not possible in 1.19 since the game processes block updates in quene instead of stacks. However, if you're on a fabric server with carpet, you can use carpet fixes https://github.com/fxmorin/carpet-fixes and enable /carpet-fixes reIntroduceInstantBlockUpdates true which should enable update supression again.

Is There any mod for 1.19 that allows to have 1.18 update suppression?
link about the update supression and item shadowing features: https://github.com/fxmorin/carpet-fixes/wiki/How-to-use-item-shadowing-in-1.19-using-carpet-fixes

I started a public server, and somebody did something to spam the console with this, I know the intent of this is most definitely negative, and I've banned them, but what is this *supposed* to do?
Theres a mod that does it: https://github.com/fxmorin/carpet-fixes/wiki/Available-Settings#nocomexploitfix (https://github.com/fxmorin/carpet-fixes/blob/dev/src/main/java/carpetfixes/mixins/playerFixes/ServerPlayNetworkHandler_nocomMixin.java).

Does anyone has any idea of how to make Shadow Items in 1.18
Shadowing still works up to 1.17.1 and it was patched in 1.18 as far as I know, someone please correct me if I am wrong. There is a mod to unpatch it in the carpet extension Carpet-Fixes

Why is my server spending so much time on unloading? What might be causing this? What enters in this category?
It's a known bug for 1.18. I think there's a fix for it in carpet-fixes. https://github.com/fxmorin/carpet-fixes

can't breed animals (maybe because of mods?)
Blanket (by KosmX)
- My fps don't exceed 58 even with Sodium, Lithium and Phosphorous mods on my low end PC . Without mods the maximum I had was 55 ... What am I doing wrong ? Please help me or suggest alternate good performance enhancing mods

How would I go about overwriting something that already exists in a biome?
That said, I have no experience with using modloaders but you apparently use "ASM", "reflection", and "bytecode manipulation" to modify vanilla code (which is all so abstract that IDK how modders even get anything done, especially with large mods (TMCW has over 500 classes and 7 MB of source; I do use reflection in a couple non-critical areas, e.g. disabling the (useless) realms check); here is one such example, I can't comprehend what it is actually doing; this also shows how important it is to document such code, at least with the line(s) being changed in a comment). However, a lot of mods these days use "mixins", which appear to be normal Java code (example).
What are some alternatives?
